About The Batson Clinic

Katherine Batson is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and owner of The Batson Clinic. She is a Central Arkansas native, originally from Maumelle and now calls Little Rock home. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at the University of Central Arkansas and went on to graduate from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences with a Master of Nursing Science degree. Katherine has always had a passion for helping people and has consistently sought out opportunities to serve others and her community.

Early in her career, Katherine worked as an RN in the Emergency Room at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and in outpatient clinics at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. There she saw first-hand how important primary care and proper health maintenance can be in preventing acute illness. Over her 12-year nursing career, Katherine has worked in a variety of settings including urgent care, correctional medicine, podiatry, pediatrics, and a skilled nursing facility. These roles have given her a vast expanse of field experience as well as the technical skills necessary to serve her patients’ primary care needs.

Katherine is passionate about identifying the root cause of health issues and addressing all underlying factors to provide well-rounded, evidence-based, and holistic care for the unique needs of each individual patient. Her motto is “people over profit” and she strives to ensure that every patient receives the personalized care they deserve.

Outside of work Katherine is married to her husband, Chase. They have two young daughters, Violet and Charlotte; a chihuahua, Robbie; and a betta fish, Don. Katherine’s life revolves around her family and she has grown this business out of immense love for her two daughters and the desire to improve primary care in the Little Rock community. Family is at the heart of The Batson Clinic, and we look forward to serving you and yours.

Rebekka Amick is an Adult-Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist and Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, board-certified by the American Academy Nurse Credentialing Center, and licensed by the state of Arkansas to provide comprehensive health care to adult patients. She believes in building a long-lasting and trusting relationship with patients and their families. She provides comprehensive evaluation of patients by taking time to listen and understand their particular healthcare needs and works together with them to develop an individualized plan of care. Her goal is to enhance a positive health experience and confidence to those in need.

As an advanced practice nurse, Rebekka works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers to care for patients with a variety of acute and chronic health conditions. Her scope of practice encompasses health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis and management of common and complex health care problems. She is most passionate about chronic disease management and more specifically obesity management. She obtained a Certificate of Advanced Education in Obesity from the Obesity Medicine Association.

Rebekka obtained her Master’s education from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Nursing in New Orleans, LA in 2015. She also obtained a post-Master’s certificate from Maryville University in St. Louis, MO in 2020. Prior to becoming an APRN, she was a RN for 12 years, certified in medical-surgical care. As an APRN, she has 4 years of primary care experience from UAMS, 1 year experience in population health management, and now over 4 years experience in obesity medicine.

In addition to her career, Rebekka enjoys spending time with her family- her husband, Eric, and two sons, Caleb and Jonah. Together, they like to travel, especially to attend concerts, and to watch football, especially the LSU tigers and New Orleans Saints.

Margaret Stramel is an AANP-certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with over a decade of experience across some of Central Arkansas’s most demanding clinical environments. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing at Walden University. Margaret’s clinical career has been defined by versatility and a high standard of care — qualities that translate directly into the precision and professionalism she brings to aesthetic services at The Batson Clinic.

Margaret has spent the bulk of her advanced practice career at Baptist Health Urgent Care in Little Rock, where she has cared for upwards of 50 patients per day across a wide range of acute and procedural needs — from wound care and splinting to complex disease management. That level of clinical volume and variety has given her a deep, practical understanding of human anatomy, pharmacology, and the medical standards that govern safe practice. It is that same foundation — not a weekend certification — that underpins the aesthetic care she provides to patients at The Batson Clinic.

Outside of work, Margaret is a North Little Rock native who enjoys spending time with her family. We are excited to have her leading this new chapter for The Batson Clinic and look forward to introducing her to our community.

Lauren Schuller is a Licensed Practical Nurse and a Central Arkansas native with nearly a decade of hands-on nursing experience across a wide variety of care settings. She earned her Associate in General Studies and Certified Nursing Assistant certification from North Arkansas College, and has built her career from the ground up — starting as a CNA and working her way through progressively responsible nursing roles that have given her a deep, practical foundation in patient care.

Over the course of her career, Lauren has worked in long-term care and memory care, rehabilitation, correctional medicine, hospice, and outpatient settings. Most recently, she served as an LPN at the Low T Center in Little Rock, where she gained valuable experience in hormone therapy and wellness-focused patient care — experience that translates directly to the work we do at The Batson Clinic. She is skilled in medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, phlebotomy, EKGs, and patient monitoring, bringing a breadth of clinical experience that makes her a versatile and dependable member of our team.

Lauren is known for her compassionate, no-nonsense approach to patient care. She believes that every patient deserves to feel heard and respected, and she brings that commitment to every interaction — whether she’s assisting with a routine visit or helping a patient navigate a new care plan.

Outside of work, Lauren is a proud Little Rock local who is passionate about her community and the people in it. We are thrilled to have her as part of The Batson Clinic family.

Keiro Cullen is a Certified Medical Assistant and Little Rock local who brings over a decade of hands-on clinical experience to The Batson Clinic. She earned her Medical Assistant certification from Eastern College and holds both her CMA and CCMA certifications, along with CPR certification — giving her a strong technical foundation to complement her warm, patient-centered approach.

Before joining our team, Keiro spent nearly four years as a Medical Assistant at Lohani Internal Medicine in Little Rock, where she developed a broad and practical clinical skill set — from patient vitals and lab collection to EKGs, spirometry, prior authorizations, and chronic care management. Prior to that, she spent several years at Arkansas Pain Centers, where she gained experience assisting with interventional procedures and Botox administration, a background that translates directly into the work we do here.

Keiro is detail-oriented, dependable, and genuinely invested in the patients she serves. We are thrilled to have her as part of The Batson Clinic family.

When we need extra assistance, Wendy England is the warm, welcoming face you’re likely to see when you walk through our doors — and she comes to us in the most personal way possible: as the proud mother of our founder and provider, Katherine Batson.

Originally from Middlesbrough, England, Wendy made the move to the United States in 1980 to help address a critical nursing shortage and built a career in women’s health and fertility — work that required both clinical precision and genuine compassion for patients navigating some of the most meaningful moments of their lives. That same warmth and attentiveness is something she brings to every patient she greets at The Batson Clinic today.

When she’s not keeping our front desk running smoothly, Wendy stays busy with her six grandchildren, maintains a lively social circle that includes several fellow Europeans, and volunteers at the Robinson Center here in Little Rock. She is also — and we say this with great admiration — an active participant in Renaissance Faires, where she has been known to appear as a Member of the Queen’s Court or Fairy Godmother, which honestly explains a lot about how effortlessly she makes everyone feel welcome.

We may be biased, but we think she’s pretty wonderful.
